WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Drag is an art form where people create a character/persona to present gender in interesting & creative ways.
Anyone, of any gender or sexual orientation can change their appearance and transform themselves into a drag king, drag queen or non-binary drag performer!
As a cisgender woman, Michelle transforms into male character Zak Zinya in order to perform by lip syncing, dancing, and doing his best Justin Bieber impression!
In this hands-on, interactive workshop, participants will learn the basics of drag makeup, character development, lip synching, dance/movement, costuming, and how to build confidence and stage presence to perform drag!
The workshop will end with a voluntary "just for fun" 1 min performance of each of the participants who wish to show off their newly developed skills!
