If you're a parent, family member or friend who is struggling to understand and accept your LGBTQI2S loved one, Pflag is for you. If you're LGBTQI2S and afraid to come out, or you wish to be part of an accepting family, Pflag is for you too. We help keep families together, and we're family when it feels like no one else is there for you.
Pflag monthly support meetings are a safe, judgment-free zone where you can share experiences and learn from others with similar experiences. Pflag does not offer professional counselling. We are parents, allies and members of the LGBTQI2S community who have all been on the journey to support, acceptance, love and celebration. It DOES get better, and Pflag Renfrew County can help.

Pflag parents and members of the LGBTQI2S community are available to speak with any group that wishes to gain a better understanding and awareness of LGBTQI2S identities and issues. We typically begin our presentations by sharing our personal stories. From there we cover "LGBTQI2S 101" (what all those letters mean) as well as why visibility matters, the importance of allies, and how to be an ally. We welcome invitations from schools, businesses and community groups, and tailor our presentations according to each audience and age range.
There is no fee for these presentations, but we welcome an honorarium in any amount for Pflag Renfrew County.
