If you're a parent, family member or friend who is struggling to understand and accept your LGBTQ+ loved one, PFLAG is for you. If you're LGBTQ+ and afraid to come out, or you wish to be part of an accepting family, PFLAG is for you too. We help keep families together, and we're family when it feels like no one else is there for you.
PFLAG monthly support meetings are a safe, judgment-free zone where you can share experiences and learn from others with similar experiences. PFLAG does not offer professional counselling. We are parents, allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community who have all been on the journey to support, acceptance, love and celebration. It DOES get better, and PFLAG Renfrew County can help.

PFLAG parents and members of the LGBTQ+ community are available to speak with any group that wishes to gain a better understanding and awareness of LGBTQ+ issues. We typically begin our presentations by sharing our personal stories. From there we cover "LGBTQ+ 101" (what all those letters mean) as well as why visibility matters, the importance of allies, and how to be an ally. We welcome invitations from schools, businesses and community groups, and tailor our presentations according to each audience and age range.
There is no fee for these presentations, but we welcome your donation in any amount to PFLAG Renfrew County.
